Sub Rosa - post #3

Hello,

I have finished my piece a while back, but have not got around to sharing yet. So here I am.

I chose the chart "Blue Bird" by Sub Rosa.

stitched on Kiwi Illusions (Hand-dyed embroidery fabric), Jubilee 28ct, Drifting Sands; in Anchor: 10, 131, 143, 281, 310, 754, and an unknown (I lost the number from the dark pink).

It might be some time till I make it into a proper finish.

Looking forward to seeing everybody else's work.

My Sub Rosa SAL

I have chosen "Sweet Rosie - Thanksgiving" for my Sub Rosa SAL...

It was not easy to chose just one, as all of Eszter's/Sub Rosa's designs are just gorgeous, but in the end I decided on one of the "Sweet Rosie" charts, and this was perfect. It didn't stop me from purchasing more than one, of course :)

I have decided to stitch this on a 32 ct "Stone" Evenweave, that I have had in my stash, using Nina's HD Floss in Artichoke, Espresso, Heather, Nutmeg, Oak, and Semiramis, also from my stash so it is not the colors that have been charted, but close enough.

I can't wait to see what you all chose to stitch, and want to Thank you for letting me join...I will share my finish with you all, once I get there.

Hugs
Karyn

My choice for the Sub Rosa SAL

I finally decided that I will stitch Sub Rosa's "Flowers, 1879" sampler.  I pulled the recommended DMC floss and am stitching it on 32 ct. natural linen.  I have not started it as of yet, but am hoping to get some stitches in this Sunday.  Here it is kitted up;

I look forward to seeing everyone's choices and progress...

Have a great weekend!

Snowflower Diaries - post #2

Hello,

I am back with a second finish before we finally swap over for/to another designer.

First all let me show you 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' as a proper finish.

it is a heart with herbs ...

... so if you squeeze it ...

... it smells lovely
My mum had assisted me with the making up of the heart. She does hearts with herbs for craft fairs ... so she was the right person to ask to help me out.

So, onto my next finish. It is 'Haunted House' by the Snowflower Diaries. It was completed on Zweigart 28 count Pastel Linen Amsterdam Blue; in the following colours: DMC: 310 and blanc, and Anchor: 13 and 302.

Haunted House
It is going to be a makeup bag ... just wait and see. Will post a picture once I have it.

I also love Joanne's 'Come with me' finish ... I am really tempted to stitch that and the 'Lavender Girl' ... but in my own sweet time, as I am aware everyone else wants to move on.

As I have suggested in the comments to Joanne's post (thank you Joanne for support) ... I volunteer Sub Rosa. And for the etsy shop click HERE. Eszter is also currently offering 3 free pincushion patterns (which you can see HERE) along with any purchase. Or does anyone have any other suggestions?
